Named after the Italian island that became Napoleon's home during exile, Elba is a Seattle based band who's catchy three-minute pop songs, and unconventional song structures provide tight blasts of audible adventure.

Since the release of their first LP (An Avalanche) in 2008, Elba has received heavy rotation on KEXP, honorable mention in The Stranger, and has been referred to as "Seattle's band to watch."

Their 3rd album (set to be released on September 22nd, 2011) uses war imagery and heartbreak as lyrical themes, but celebrates life as a whole with crisp instrumentation and varied melodies that lift the spirits with each listen.

Recorded with engineer Graig Markel at Seattle's Recovery Room, S/T harkens back to the days of no-frills indie-pop; each song builds upon the one before it, and at the end you're left wanting to return to the beginning and visit them all over again.

Elba will be touring in support of their new album in September, and will release a video for the track "From a Sinking Ship" around that time as well. Check them out on the road and let them prove in person that no man (or band) is an island. We're all in this ship together.
